AREAS WHERE WE NEED PARENT HELP

Bus Parking

Report to the event building entrance one hour prior to the event starting time. Please be prompt.

Meet each arriving bus and instruct the director to report to the registration desk.

After unloading, direct the bus to the parking facility.

Auditorium / Gym Performance Area

Report to the performance area 30 minutes prior to the event starting time. Please be prompt.

Distribute programs.

Allow no one to enter or leave the stage area while a group is performing. Also discourage entering or leaving before all selections are performed by the group.

Station one person inside and one outside each door.

The person on the outside controls the noise level in the area.

Hall Monitors

Patrol Rooms in the 00’s and 300/800 hall.

Get master keys from Registration desk or the preceding monitors.

Monitor homeroom halls.  Lock empty rooms as purses and cell phones etc. will be in those rooms.

Keep the peace.

Sight-Reading Room Chair and Assistants

Report to the sight-reading room one hour prior to the event starting time. Please be prompt.

Be familiar with sight-reading procedure as stated in the OMEA Rules and Regulations booklet.

Allow no visitors in the sight-reading room.

Distribute and collect the folders.

Assist the adjudicator as he/she sees fit.

Information/Registration Desk

Report to the information desk one hour prior to the event starting time. Please be prompt.

Know everything that is scheduled and be able to give clear and concise information and directions to any place in the building.

Give Directors purple schedules and maps.

Inform directors are to pick up their comment sheets and ratings before they are posted.
